Kroger

After reading various posts about how Kroger’s coupon policy sometimes changes with the weather – and on whims,  I’m so glad that my local stores are consistent! I once had a manager (at a store that I rarely visit) tell me that he could not accept a $1/1 coupon for an item that was $.95.  He explained that if he did it would mean that I would get “credit” for the $.05 that I would not actually spend.  I politely listened to him, told him that I understood, and asked if I could make  a comment. I calmly explained that 1) I did not want the credit – I just wanted the item and (2) every Kroger within a 20 mile radius would accept the coupon and adjust it down to the cost of the item. He listened, tried it, saw that it worked, took my coupon, and thanked me for teaching him something new! Gotta love ‘em!
